Open-ended Inquiry: For an open-ended inquiry activity based on an image, begin with See-Think-Wonder. Ask students what the see in the image. If they don't notice the nutrition sheet under the fries, direct their attention. Ask students what they think. For example, you might ask them to inference why they think fries are sitting on top of a nutrition information sheet. Then, ask students what they wonder about. The questions they ask will be their questions for inquiry.
